HURT (Have Your Tomorrows)

HURT (Have Your Tomorrows) is a voluntary organisation supporting individuals and their family who have been impacted negatively by drug/alcohol problems. HURT treatment centre offers a confidential; non-judgmental approach to those affected by dependency and addiction.

HURT staff and volunteers provide a holistic care package to individuals seeking assistance in relation to their own or a loved one’s addiction issue. Our services include Auricular acupuncture, complimentary therapies – to include reflexology and massage, clients are also offered ten weeks of counselling.

HURT also offers a range of programmes for  younger & older people, Reconnected Recovery & Destination Me, helping with addiction, activities, excursions, OCN’s etc.

We deliver preventative educational programmes within local schools youth clubs and community based initiatives.

Lifehack Journeys

If you are aged between 16 and 24 and would like to access a range of exciting opportunities, improve your over all wellbeing and develop new skills then please get in touch. For family members and people in the wider community; if you feel a project like this may be helpful for a young person you know we’d love to hear from you too. This exciting new project is supported by Peaceplus, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). Young people from all communities across the Derry City and Strabane District Council area can access the Lifehack Journeys Project. We look forward to hearing from you.

Papyrus – Hopeline

HOPELINE247 is a confidential support and advice service for children and young people under the age of 35 who are experiencing thoughts of suicide, or anyone concerned that a young person could be thinking about suicide.

If you are having thoughts of suicide or are concerned for a young person who might be you can contact HOPELINE247 for confidential support and practical advice.

Reach Across

REACH Across is a cross-community youth group for 14 – 17yr olds, that provides contact and development opportunities through weekly Club Nights, training courses, outdoor activities education visits, social action projects etc.

The Play Therapies Centre

Play and Art Therapy are effective and caring forms of therapy that will take your child through a gentle experience, with creativity at it’s core and our therapist as their guide. At The Play Therapies Centre we are passionate about helping and supporting children to grow and progress from being anxious, withdrawn or hostile, to becoming more confident, content and satisfied within themselves and their environments.

Youth Transition Project

YES is for Young People throughout the Derry City area to access services and programmes that promote positive mental health, physical health, and well-being within one physical space.

Overall the YES aims to provide a haven for young people to access education, advice and support services on any issues they may be facing without fear of prejudice, judgement or exploitation. We also provide an outreach service for those who can’t access the city centre.

Zest

Zest is an organisation offering supportive care to people suffering emotional pain and hurt with the aim to provide a place of genuine acceptance, active safety, and living hope, to those who don’t feel accepted, who don’t feel safe and are losing hope.
