ARC Fitness is a non-profit social enterprise based in Derry, Northern Ireland, founded by Gary Rutherford. The organisation aims to support individuals struggling with substance misuse by promoting a healthy and sustainable recovery through exercise and positive lifestyle choices. ARC Fitness provides practical help, motivation, and support to individuals in recovery, focusing on improving both mental and physical well-being through a combination of physical activity, professional support, and community engagement.

The organisation’s approach is abstinence-oriented and involves creating therapeutic environments that facilitate recovery from substance misuse disorders. ARC Fitness also organises events such as the ‘Recovery In Motion’ conference, which brings together professionals and individuals with lived experience to share insights and support each other in the recovery journey​
